DTS overlay for pin mux config is a good idea. I've added an issue to track this: OnionIoT/OpenWRT-Packages#105

Pls drop a comment there if there's a specific pin mux config example you would like to see @crispyoz @viteo

@viteo @crispyoz It looks like using DT Overlay to set the pin mux settings is currently not doable. See
issue OnionIoT/OpenWRT-Packages#105 for more details
